Kamal Henri Khayat, FACI, is Professor of Civil Engineering and Director of the Integrated Research Laboratory in the Valorization of Materials and Innovative and Durable Structures at the Université de Sherbrooke in Canada. He specializes in the development of high-performance cement-based materials for structural applications and rehabilitation. He holds an NSERC Industrial Chair on High-Performance Concrete with Adapted Rheology at Sherbrooke. He is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the CANMET/ACI Citation for outstanding contribution for the development and use of chemical admixtures for SCC. Professor Khayat Chairs RILEM TC on Mechanical Properties of SCC and is Secretary of ACI 237, SCC.

PIERRE-CLAUDE AITCIN
Pierre-Claude Aïtcin is Professor Emeritus at the Université de Sherbrooke, Canada, a member of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Civil Engineering, and an Honorary Member of the American
Concrete Institute. He was Scientific Director of Concrete Canada, the Network of Centres of Excellence on High-Performance Concrete for 8 years. For 9 years, he also held an Industrial Chair on Concrete Technology in collaboration with 13 industrial partners. He is the author of the book High-Performance Concrete published in 1998 by E and FN SPON of London. Portuguese, French, Czech, and Spanish versions of this book have also been published. His principal research interests were in the manufacturing and use of high-performance and ultra high-performance concretes, and the use of industrial by-products in concrete.

Omar S. Baghabra Al-Amoudi is the Deputy Dean for Continuing Education Programs and a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). Prof. Al-Amoudi was one of the founding

F. Surico graduated in industrial organic chemistry at the State University of Milan. He is co-operating with Mapei central Research Laboratory in Milan, Italy since 1998 as synthesis specialist for new concrete admixtures. Now he is leading the research group for the development of new admixtures for concrete in cooperation with the Mapei R&D laboratories in Europe and Asia.
He is co-author of several papers on concrete technology and admixtures for concrete presented to the most relevant international conferences in this field as well as three international patents for the invention of new admixture for concrete.

Dr. Mohamad Nagi has more than 20 years experience in construction materials, corrosion of metals, durability and non-destructive test methods. He is currently the regional manager of the materials technology group of GHD in Dubai.
Prior to joining GHD in 2006, he worked for 17 years in a leading engineering firm specialised in concrete structures in the United States. Mohamad has been the author of over 35 technical papers on concrete materials, corrosion, durability and non-destructive testing. Dr. Nagi was involved in an FHWA funded project dealt with prediction the remaining service life of key bridges over the Mississippi river in the U.S.

Claus Petersen holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. diplomas from the Technical University of Denmark and the Danish University of Business Administration and Economy. He founded the Germann Instruments companies in 1976.
Mr. Petersen has extensive experience in the application of the test systems, and is frequently lecturing in NDT methods at universities and government or private institutions. He has authored a number of books and papers on the test systems .
