He is having more than 18 years of professional experience in Asia, Middle East and Europe.
He has an MSc degree in Concrete & Environment from the University of Dundee and currently pursuing PhD programme with the University of Bath in Concrete and Environmental sustainability.
He is a Corporate Member of the Institute of Concrete Technology.
Bryan E. Barragan
Bryan E. Barragan(Ph.D) is a concrete technology research specialist of the ‘Technology and Development’ team of BASF Construction Chemicals - Admixture Systems Europe, in Treviso, Italy.
With a large experience in University-Industry technology transference, has co-authored more than 100 technical publications in the areas of concrete technology,
fibre reinforced concrete and self-compacting concrete.
David Serra
David Serra (BEng MSc DIC) is International Sales Manager at Hydronix, specialists in the measurement of moisture in aggregates and fresh concrete.
He graduated in Civil Engineering and continued his studies with a Concrete Structures MSc from Imperial College London.
David began his career as a Structural Engineer before moving into technical business development. He has over 10 years experience within the construction industry, having advised clients in over 30 countries.
Dimitri Feys
Dimitri Feys graduated in 2004 as a civil engineer at Ghent University. Since then, he focused his research on the interactions between rheological properties and pumping of Self-Compacting Concrete, which formed the basis for the doctoral degree he obtained at Ghent University in May 2009.
Since September 1st 2009, he is affiliated as a post-doctoral fellow with the concrete research group of the Université de Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada, under the lead of Prof. Kamal H. Khayat.
Francesco Surico
Francesco Surico graduated in industrial organic chemistry at the State University of Milan.
He started co-operating with Mapei central Research Laboratory in Milan, Italy in 1998 as synthesis specialist for new concrete admixtures.
Now he is leading the research group for the development of new admixtures for concrete in cooperation with the Mapei R&D laboratories in Europe and Asia.
He is co-author of several papers on concrete technology and admixtures for concrete presented to the most relevant international conferences in this field as well as three international patents for the invention of new admixture for concrete.
Gabriel. E. Nassar
Gabriel. E. Nassar is the Resident Manager of Sodamco Qatar.
He has more than 15 years experience in The Ready Mix Concrete Operation including Technical manager and General Manager positions at BCL Ready Mix (Beirut, Lebanon).
He is a holder of a bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from RMIT Melbourne Australia.
He is a member of the Institute of Engineers of Australia and the ACI Lebanon Chapter.
James Aldred
James Aldred (Ph.D, CPEng, LEED AP) has over 25 years in the concrete industry having worked in Australia, Asia, the Middle East, the United Kingdom and Canada.
His background included Manager of the High Performance Concrete Research Group at NUS, Technical Director of an international building materials supplier and Technical Manager of Taywood Engineering.
Dr Aldred is Principal Engineer with GHD Pty Ltd and Manager of the Independent Verification and Testing Authority for the Burj Dubai.
James is an active member of ACI and member of the sustainability, durability, admixture, slag, silica fume, hot weather and service life committees.
Dr Aldred recently received an award for your outstanding contributions in the broad area of concrete technology at the ACI’s Seville conference.
James has authored or co-authored over 40 technical papers on various aspects of concrete technology.
Jessi Meyer
Jessi Meyer is currently employed by Cortec Corporation as Vice President Sales - Asia/MCI/Additives, Jessi Meyer has a B.S. in Chemistry with Business
Emphasis and has been working in the construction industry for nearly
10 years.
Jessi is a member of ACI, ICRI (International Concrete
Repair Institute), USGBC (US Green Building Council), and CSI
(Construction Specifications Institute).
She sits on the Corrosion
Inhibitor and Life Cycle Committees with ICRI and was recently elected
to their Board of Directors. She also sits on the Board with her
local chapter of ICRI (Minnesota).
Jon C Knights
Jon C Knights (BSc MSc CEng MIMMM CSci AMICT) is the Principal Materials Engineer of Halcrow Group Ltd.
He has extensive experience in design, specification, testing and application of concrete and materials technology to a number of high-value projects in the UK and overseas.
Development of in-house analytical models to estimate service life of concrete structures in aggressive environments. Production of durability audits and planning strategies for structures in aggressive environments. Forensic investigation and expert witness services in concrete technology.
Hani H. Nassif
Hani H. Nassif is Professor of Bridge Engineering and Prestressed Concrete at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rutgers – The State University of New Jersey.
Prof. Nassif established Rutgers’ Bridge Engineering Program and is currently working in the research area of Bridge Engineering and Advanced Materials. Prof. Nassif has served as a consultant and is currently involved with various bridge engineering firms, organizations, and DOT’s.
Dr. Nassif has several years of practical experience in the area of structural design and construction.
He is a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and member of its Technical Activity Committee (TAC), ACI 209-Creep and Shrinkage, ACI 343-Concrete Bridges, and serves on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey ACI Chapter.
Currently, he is the President of the Rutgers’ Chapter of the Scientific Research Society, Sigma Xi, and a member of the Engineering Honor Societies Tau Beta Pi and Chi Epsilon.
Harald Beitzel
Harald Beitzel is Professor of Building Process Technology at the University of Applied Sciences Trier, and Adjunct Professor for Concrete Production and Casting at the University of Karlsruhe, as well as Head of IBU, Trier, Germany.
He has long-standing managerial experience in the construction industry and conducted pioneer research in mixing and pumping of concrete.
He is a member and served on various technical committees of RILEM and VDI.
Kamal Henri Khayat
Kamal Henri Khayat is Professor of Civil Engineering and Director of the Integrated Research Laboratory in the Valorization of Materials and Innovative and Durable Structures at the Université de Sherbrooke in Canada.
He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
He has conducted pioneer work in rheology of specialty cement-based materials, including self-consolidating concrete (SCC), underwater repair, and grouting and has published over 180 technical papers on various subjects pertaining to these areas of research.
He is Fellow of the American Concrete Institute and serves on several technical committees of ACI, RILEM, and CSA, including Chairman of ACI 237 on SCC and RILEM TC on Mechanical Properties of SCC.
Olafur H. Wallevik
Olafur H. Wallevik is the head of basic research at Innovation Cementer Iceland and a professor at Reykjavik University. He has worked with concrete technology since he finished his master thesis on the rheology of fresh concrete at Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1983. In 1987 he made the first version of the BML Viscometer which now is purchased from throughout the world.
His special fields are Rheology of Fresh Concrete, High Performance Concrete, High Strength Concrete, Self-Compacting Concrete and Microstructures.
He is manager of ICI Rheocenter. He has hold about 40 rheology / SCC courses in 16 countries.
Rabih Fakih
Rabih Fakih is the founder and the Managing Partner of Grey Matters (Group of Companies).
Rabih has more than 13 years experience in concrete technology and material consultancy.
He is a member of ACI and other international associations. He worked intensively for 7 years in the ACI Certification programs in the Middle East.
He has successfully introduced several concrete technologies into the Middle East and GCC market.
Redwan Amin Hameed
Redwan Amin Hameed is the technical director of Saudi Readymix Concrete Co.
He received his Bachelor (1988) and Master (1991) degrees is civil engineering.
His areas of interest and expertise include concrete technology, testing of construction materials, assessment of concrete structures and geotechnical engineering.
He is an active member of the Saudi Society for Civil Engineering (SSCE) –Eastern Region, where he heads the marketing and membership committee.
He is also a member of ACI and Concrete Society
(UK).
Said Ahmmed Jodeh
Said Ahmmed Jodeh is the Technical Manager of Al Wataniya Concrete – Qatar.
He is a holder of Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from An Najah National University.
He is an A.C.I Concrete Construction Special Inspector, and hold many certificates from ACI and ASTM.
He is member in many associations and technical committees as ACI ,ASTM , P.C.S ,QCS and has many researches and articles in concrete.
Wassim Mansour
Wassim Mansour holds a civil engineering diploma from the Lebanese University.
He is currently the Assistant Technical Manager of Readymix Abu Dhabi and ALDAR Readymix. Wassim has 10 years experience in the concrete industry, assessment of existing structures, asphalt and soil mechanics fields.
He was involved in various prestigious projects in Lebanon, Syria, Qatar and the UAE.
Shigeyoshi Nagataki
Shigeyoshi Nagataki, is an ACI honorary member, a Professor of Aichi Institute of Technology, and Emeritus Professor of Tokyo Institute of Technology.
He was President of Japan Concrete Institute from May of 2004 to 2006.
He is also honorary member of JSCE,JCI and JSMS. He received his Doctor of Engineering(1966) from University of Tokyo, Japan.
